Blog, Life, + Biz: My Goals for February

february-goals
Happy February! I don’t know about you, but 2016 has just had an entirely different vibe for me so far. It just feels like this year is going to be amazing. Hopefully it’s been the same for you!

As we head into a new month, it’s time to set some new goals and reflect on the ones from last month. (Even though I already know I didn’t do so great on those, due to a shift in priorities!) Keep reading to check out my goals for February and leave your monthly goals in the comments below. Let’s hold each other accountable!

1. Be more organized with my schedule.

My to-do list kind of exploded towards the end of January, so it’s important that I get organized with my schedule. I want to make sure that I have ample time to get things done without feeling overwhelmed. In the past, I’ve mentioned that I like to block off time to write all of my blog posts on Fridays. This is something I would like to expand on and create “themes” for more of my days. For example, Mondays could be for administrative tasks, Tuesdays are for client calls, etc.

I also want to get better at actually blocking off time on my calendar. The entire reason I don’t like hourly planners is because I’ve always struggled to plan my days that way. I’ve always preferred to write a list of my most important tasks for the day, then I work on what feels good first (or what’s due first), instead of creating a strict schedule. This month, I want to focus more on actually blocking off time on my calendar so I can stay on track. I still want to allow myself the freedom to rearrange my schedule, but having a little more structure will help me get things done in good time.

2. Update The Haute Notes Library.

Updating the content in The Haute Notes Library is something that has been on my to-do list for a little while now. Unfortunately, it kept getting pushed back because other tasks took priority. Well, that ends here. In January, I more than doubled the amount of people who signed-up for my list compared to December. I want to make sure everyone on my list has access to the best content, so everything will be getting an update! If you aren’t already signed-up, so you don’t miss out!

3. Meditate daily.

I meditated kind of sporadically throughout January, but this month I want to make sure I’m taking the time to meditate on a regular basis. Starting my day with a meditation sounds like the perfect way to get into the right mindset to tackle my to-do list. I love listening to guided meditations because they’re easier for me to focus on. My favorite meditations are by Melanie Bundock! She’s amazing!

Last Month’s Goals:

Now it’s time to check in on last month’s goals to see how I did!

  • Start working on my upcoming e-course. While I’m still planning to launch a new e-course later this year, my priorities kind of shifted in January. I decided to focus on some other projects and push the new course off for just a little bit.
  • Guest post on other sites. I didn’t take on as much guest posting as I would have liked, but it’s something that is always on my to-do list. Guest posting is a fantastic way to get more traffic to your website, grow your email list, etc. I’ll definitely continue to write more and more guest posts as the year goes on. Let me know if you need a post for your site!
  • Focus on having a positive mindset. Yes! Having a positive mindset is so important for success. I’ve been incorporating more affirmations, EFT tapping, and meditation into my life and it feels great. I also started keeping a daily gratitude journal in January. It has provided me a nice way to reflect on all the good things that happened each and every day.
