Set goals that excite you.
It’s much easier to stay focused on your goals when you’re excited about what you hope to accomplish. Make sure that the goals you’re setting for yourself are in alignment with what you truly want in your life. It’s as simple as that!
Move forward every day.
Sometimes it can be hard to push ourselves to work toward our goals. But it’s a good idea to take at least one small step every day. Review your goals every morning and ask yourself what you can do on that particular day to make sure you’re working toward what you want to accomplish. It doesn’t matter how big or little that one step is. All that matters is that you take action. So, what can you do today to get closer to achieving your goals?
Create a vision board.
A vision board is a fantastic way to stay focused on your goals because it serves as a visual reminder of what you what in your life. You can use your vision board to show, not only what you want to accomplish, but also the things you want to manifest into your life. Maybe you want to be featured in a magazine? Maybe you’ve been lusting after a designer handbag? Use an image to show those things on your vision board and watch them become your reality.
To create your vision board, you can use magazine clippings and a cork board or poster board. Use images that depict what you want to manifest, add inspirational quotes to motivate you, and anything else that just makes you feel good. You can even make a digital vision board and set it as the wallpaper on your laptop so you’ll see it whenever you turn it on. The key is to put your vision board somewhere you will see it every day. Let it serve as a motivator to keep working toward everything you want to achieve.
Write a goal card.
Similarly, I also think it’s a great idea to write out a goal card. While your vision board serves as a visual reminder of the goals you want to accomplish and what you want to manifest, your goal card can be your written reminder. However, the key with your goal card is to write it in the present tense, as if your goals have already happened.
So, let’s say you have this goal to make $10,000 in your business every month… Don’t write, “I want my business to make $10,000 per month.” Write this instead: My business makes $10,000 per month. Focus on it as if it’s already happened so you can get in that positive mindset you need to be in to attract it into your life. Keep your goal card somewhere you’ll see it daily and take the time to read it and visualize your life as if what you wanted has already happened.
Celebrate your milestones.
There’s nothing wrong with a little positive reinforcement! You’ll be more likely to stay focused on your goals if you give yourself a little reward from time to time. I always think goals are more easily accomplished when you break them up into smaller, actionable tasks. So, all you need to do is set milestones on the way to completing your goal. Give yourself little rewards for meeting those milestones and you can have a larger reward once you have completed everything.
Get support.
Don’t be afraid to ask your friends or family to support you along the way. They can serve as a great accountability system and help you to stay focused on your goals. Tell your family and friends what you want to accomplish and give them updates from time to time. They can give you an extra push if you’re slacking off or offer their advice when needed!
